Just a reminder that tonight is our Open House and Young Author's Evening starting at 5:00! FOSSI will be hosting an enchilada dinner and dessert auction fundraiser. We will also be having a plant sale! Join us for a fun evening!

Good Evening Sherwood Families. Tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. is our Open House and Young Author's Evening. FOSSI will be having an Enchilada Dinner and Dessert Auction Fundraiser. If you are helping with set up please plan to be at the school by 4:00p.m. If you are dropping off food for the dinner please plan to come 15 minutes early. Dessert items for the auction can be dropped off early at the school office the day of or in the evening in Ms. Hall's room. We look forward to showing you all of our students hard work and their amazing Young Author's Books. Thank you and have a good evening.

Good Morning Sherwood Families. This is a reminder to please send in your student's permission slip this morning for the after library park trip for snack and playtime that we are taking today. We are back to our regular morning and afternoon bus schedule. Thank you and have a great day.

Good Even Sherwood Families. Tomorrow is our Tide Pool Fieldtrip. Drop off will be at the City Park at 8:15. We ask that all students remove all items not needed for the field trip from their backpacks. Toys and Stuffies must be left at home. Students will need a change of clothes incase they get wet. Warm jacks, layered clothing and good walking shoes are also needed. Shoes must be closed toed. No water shoes or crocs allowed. Pick up will be at the City Park at 2:30. There will be no regular bus services tomorrow. Today we are sending home a permission slip for May 1st. It is our last Library Day of the school year and we would like to spend some time playing and having snack at the park across the street after we drop off our books. Please sign and turn it in tomorrow morning. We will have extra copies available at pick up after the field trip if needed. Thank you and have a great evening.

Good evening Sherwood Families. This is just a reminder that this Tuesday, April 30th we will be going on our Tide Pool field trip. If you have not turned in your student’s permission slip for this trip, please send it in by tomorrow morning. Student drop off will be at 8:15 a.m. at the Willits City Park. We will depart at 8:30. Pick up will be at 2:30 p.m. at the Willits City Park. There will be no regular bus services on Tuesday. Please remember to send your student with a water bottle, snack and lunch unless you have requested the school to provide these. Students will also need good walking shoes and a warm coat. Mark your calendars for May 3rd at 5:00 p.m. You are invited to our Open House and Young Author’s Evening. FOSSI will be having an Enchilada Dinner and Dessert Auction fundraiser. If you have friends or family who are interested in Sherwood School, this is a perfect time for them to visit. All are welcome! Please remember to send in the Open House form so we know how many people will be coming and if you are donating dinner or dessert items. We are very excited to show off our amazing Young Author Books and the many other art pieces and projects our students have been working on this trimester. We hope to see you at this fun evening event.

Good evening Sherwood Families. This is just a reminder that tomorrow, April 18th, we will have our regular monthly FOSSI meeting after school at the Sherwood picnic tables. We hope to see you there! This Friday, April 19th is our Earth Day Walk-a-Thon. Please be sure to send your students in comfortable clothes, good shoes and sun hats. We also strongly encourage sun screen and water bottles be sent with your student. We will be sending home each students total laps completed at the end of the school day. Pledge envelopes and money are due the following Friday to the Sherwood Office. All proceeds earned from this fun event will go to FOSSI. Thank you and have a wonderful evening.

Good morning Sherwood Families. This is a reminder that the field trip to the Botanical Gardens has been cancelled today due to the rainy weather. We will have a regular school day. Our bus will be running on it's regular schedule. There is no school tomorrow, March 29th and the first week of April for Spring Break. We are wishing everyone a happy and safe break.

Good Evening Sherwood Families. This is a reminder to send in any Easter Eggs with your student tomorrow morning. Due to the rainy weather we have rescheduled the Easter Egg Hunt to tomorrow afternoon instead of on Wednesday. Please remember to send your student with a basket or bag to collect eggs in. If you would like to help hide eggs plan to arrive at the school by 12:30. We are also rescheduling the Botanical Garden field trip that was to take place this Thursday due to rainy weather conditions. This field trip will now take place in May with the date to be determined. We will have a regular school day on Thursday and the bus will be running on its regular schedule. There is no school this Friday, March 29th as we did not use our scheduled Snow Day this year. The following week we will be off for Spring Break. School will resume on April 8th. Good morning Sherwood Families. Due to rainy weather conditions on Wednesday, we are moving our Easter Egg hunt up to Tuesday, March 26th so that we can enjoy hunting eggs outside while the weather is nice. That is tomorrow! Please send in all Easter Egg donations by tomorrow morning. If you are still able to volunteer with egg hiding, please plan to be at the school by 12:30. The hunt will begin as soon as we have the eggs hidden. Students are invited to bring a basket to put their eggs in. Thank you and have a great day!

Good evening Sherwood Families. This is just a reminder that tomorrow is Spring Picture Day. Please send in your student's order form by tomorrow morning if you have not already done so. Friday, March 8th, will be an additional early release day this week. School will get out at 1:30 p.m. The Sherwood bus will be on an early day schedule. Good morning Sherwood Families. Please make sure to send your student to school bundled up this morning. We still have a bit of snow on the ground and it is very cold out. We recommend waterproof shoes or boots, gloves, heavy coats and hats. A change of socks is also a good idea if a student's shoes are not waterproof. We hope to allow for some outside playtime today if the weather allows. Thank you and have a great day.

Good evening Sherwood Families. This week we will have two early release days. School will get out at 1:30 on Tuesday, March 5th and also on Friday, March 8th. This will allow time for our staff to do their professional development training. The Sherwood bus will be running on the early day schedule for both days. Spring Picture Day will be on Thursday, March 7th. Students are invited to wear something fun for Spring and live bunnies will be available for students to cuddle in the pictures. Good Evening Sherwood Families. There will be no school on Friday, February 16th and on Monday, February 19th in honor of President's Day. We are wishing all of you a fantastic four day weekend. Good morning Sherwood Families, This is just to keep you in the loop. A mountain lion was spotted going into the graveyard next to the school this morning. We have not seen it since. We had all the kids go straight to their classrooms this morning and we are using adults to escort students to the restroom today. Good Evening Sherwood Families. Tomorrow Tuesday, February 13th is our field trip to the Willits Community Science Fair. We will be leaving the school at 9:00 a.m. and will be returning before lunch. If you have not turned in your student's permission slip yet, please send it in tomorrow morning. Students must have a signed permission slip to be able to attend. You may also call the school office before 8:45 a.m. to give verbal permission. Also just a reminder that if you are sending in candy for Valentine's Day that it needs to be individually wrapped and nut free. Thank you and have a great evening.

Hello Sherwood Families. This is just a reminder to please turn in your students permission slip for our fieldtrip to the Willits Center of the Arts. This trip will take place on Tuesday, January 23rd. Please send in the permission slip Monday morning. If you need another copy you can call to request one from Ms. Heather in the school office.
