WUSD was informed this afternoon by the state that the bus drivers (all but 2) First Aid endorsement was given by a provider not recognized by the Red Cross. Although the training is virtually identical and has been approved in the past our drivers have been grounded until that is fixed. We are working on re-certification tomorrow morning. However, based on this information the buses will not be running tomorrow, with the exception of bus # which transports special needs students. School will be held at normal times and morning tardiness will be given a half hour grace period. I am very sorry about the inconvenience but CHP would not give any grace period to get the alternative certification. We will be posting tomorrow afternoon the status of buses for Friday. The drivers and I are working hard to resolve this issue ASAP.
