Hello, The Mendocino College North County Center is offering a summer program for high school students and graduating seniors from Monday June tenth through Thursday July eighteenth. Students who complete two of the four classes being offered will receive a three hundred dollar stipend. That means they will get paid to take college classes! There will be an opening prayer, workshops, and food, provided by our Indigenous Nations Club and JC’s Taco Truck. We will also have Pomo dancing, singing, and various college related booths. Hello, there are two different field trip opportunities for juniors and seniors next week. The first one is the annual Mendocino College day at the Willits North County Center on Thursday March twenty first. This is an opportunity to learn about the programs and services offered at Mendocino College and will be a walking field trip. Please let your School Counselor know if you would like to attend no later than Wednesday March twentieth. The second opportunity is to attend a career day being hosted by Willits Soroptimist at the community center on Friday March twenty second. Students must turn in signed permission slips to the office no later than Thursday March twenty first. Permissions slips have been emailed and distributed in classes.

Hello WHS students and parents or guardians! We have partnered with Tapestry Family Services to offer individual and group counseling on the Willits High School campus during the school day for free! Parent or guardian consent is required for students to participate. Space for individual counseling is on a first come first serve basis. Once the Tapestry counselor has a full caseload, students and parents requesting services will be placed on a waitlist. Individual counseling has a maximum of 8 sessions. Groups will have anywhere between 6-8 students each and will cover topics such as anxiety, mindfulness, self esteem, and healthy relationships. Groups will be limited to 6-8 sessions maximum. We are hoping top have enough students to start groups on Monday February twenty sixth. If you are interested in participating in a group, please let me know.
