Hello Sherwood Families,
We are so excited to start a new year at Sherwood Elementary! Our first day of the school year is Monday, August 21st. All kindergarten and new student enrollment records must be completed by this date for your student to attend. I will be returning to the Sherwood Office on August 7th. If you have any questions please call 707-984-6769 after August 7th. If you need to reach me over the summer you may email me at heathermiya@willitsunified.com . Please Note:
Sherwood School is now a K-5th grade school. We will no longer have a middle school program on site. We are expanding our other grade levels and currently do not have a waiting list. We will have 3 multi-grade level classrooms:
Kinder-1st -Teacher: Trisa Hall
2nd-3rd- Teacher: Annapurna Steffens
4th-5th- Teacher: Savanah Norton
Willits Unified School District is happy to provide meals to all students regardless of income level. Sherwood School provides morning snack and hot lunch to all students. We do not provide breakfast, but if a student is hungry before school starts they are always welcome to stop by the office for a snack item. Students may also bring home snack and lunch. Please remember that we are a tree nut free school. Please do not bring nuts of any type onto campus.
We are happy to welcome parent volunteers into our classrooms! Your help is needed and appreciated. We also have volunteer opportunities for school events, activities and field trips. All parent volunteers must have fingerprint clearance through Willits Unified. Please contact the office for more information.
For safety reasons our Kindergarten students do not ride the bus for the first week of school. Please be prepared to arrange alternative transportation during this time.
